Here you will find a growing collection of classic novels by authors such as Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, and Edgar Allan Poe. These ebooks are created in my free time and are provided for free. Phil Hale, Mark Hardman, Gary Heidbrink, Mark O'Connor, Todd Pita, Brandon Law, David Keyser, Trent Neel, and Eric Albach have contributed to this library.
Project History
Until I purchased a Dell Axim X50v I kept a pretty sizable collection of ebooks in Microsoft Reader format. The program came pre-installed on my old Axim X5, but that was not the case on my new device. I had to install the program, which requires installation to the device memory, but I could not give up the megabytes. I checked out MobiPocket Reader, which could be installed to alternate memory, but that had a double pixeling problem on my VGA screen resulting in fuzzy letters and a huge headache. I found navigation in that program a bit tedious as well. After a few other hit a miss programs, I decided to look at YanceyWare Reader as more than just a scripture reading program and began working on this project.
Having spent hours in February of 2004 creating The Pioneer Story, I was already familiar with the process of creating ebooks for YanceyWare Reader. At the beginning of this year I decided to give ebook creation another try and I was able to develop a system to where I can now create a new book in just a couple of hours. I use the texts provided by Project Gutenberg, they are free and all books are public domain.
Ebook Requests
If you would like me to convert a book, just let me know through my email form. Please provide a link to the Project Gutenberg page where the text can be found for the ebook you would like converted. I am currently in the last month of semester and won’t be able to create new ebooks for a while, but your request will be documented and created when time is available. Thank you for your patience.
